Doing sport is good for us. Some people find it gives them a chance to ’empty their head’ or to feel good in themselves. The efforts made also let us (re)gain our dignity and discover our own strength.
DoucheFLUX and Sport sans Frontières/Sport zonder Grenzen propose training sessions for running and walking. Accompanied by a professional, participants learn ‘hints and tips’ for running and walking in a way that respects the body, and taking into account everyone’s limits and capabilities.
The objective (though not mandatory) of these sessions is to be able to participate in organised runs and walks in Belgium:
- Manneken Pis Trail, in August: start at Geraardsbergen; 6, 15, 25, 35 or 50km
- Brussels Ekiden, in September: relay run for groups of 6 runners inside and around the King Baudouin Stadium
- the 20km of Brussels
- the ‘Dodentocht‘, a 100km walk that takes places every year in August
Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:30 to 14:30 (rendez-vous at DoucheFLUX)
Exercises and running in the Parc de Forest
Possibility to have a shower afterwards
Equipement provided if needed (shorts, t-shirt, running shoes)
